Back in 2005 two local businessmen came up with the idea & they never looked back. Seven years later the Cochrane Business Network was running strong & expanding into Calgary with several more chapters.

In 2013 it was time for retirement. Finding someone to keep the Network alive in Cochrane had totally failed by early 2015. Jim Messner the original Founder along with his new Manager Shelly Kramer are now bringing the CBN back to Cochrane!

The CBN was developed for local businesses to have a place to go for Networking, meeting like-minded business people along with hosting Workshops & bringing in Guest Speakers on various business & marketing topics.

Jim Messner feels with Cochrane’s growth there is an even greater need for the CBN in Cochrane. In Jim’s words “We are all stronger together than we are apart!”

The CBN will keep the same format with monthly meetings: “We want to be able to mentor and help start-up business owners as well as work with executives & sales people so that they can keep building on their success.”

The CBN is launching their come-back with a “Drop In” Social Event being held on Friday June 26th between 4 and 6pm at Cochrane’s Boston Pizza. Registration is required (E: BizNet@Telus.net). There is a small door fee of $10 per person. Included will be the formal Announcement, Social Networking, Appetizers and a Cash Bar. All Media, Sales & Business people are invited!
