Events

After an incredible 21 years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the Cochrane Business Network.

As the Cochrane Community Innovation Team* (CCIT) has been formalizing, it has given us the opportunity to review the future of the CBN and reflect on its purpose in the community.

The CBN was created by volunteers to fill a gap when there were very few opportunities for business owners in Cochrane to connect and learn from each other.

Today, that gap no longer exists – there is a wide range of offerings open to business owners across the community, including programs, resources and networking events.

Therefore, it feels like the right time to close the CBN and hand over the baton to the organizations that have the funding and resources to deliver these opportunities long-term.

None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you for showing up, bringing your business and your questions, and building this community with us, one event at a time.

Join the CBN’s Farewell Event

Before we close the doors for good, we want to celebrate everything the CBN has built with the people who made it happen – that’s you!

Join us Thursday November 5, 5-7pm at Sheepdog Brewing, Cochrane for an informal gathering to share stories from the last 20 years.

Entry is free – please register below so we have an idea of numbers. Guests are welcome to purchase their own food and drinks on-site.
